the shoes

My mother and I yesterday went to the Hickory Mall. When we were in Sears she some how kicked off her shoes. We did not know it until we had walked out and I had happened to look down. We went back in and looked around for about 20 minutes. Mom finally asked a sales associate who had it in her hand. My daughter has learned a new word oh she started saying it today. Please pray for my daughter she has a MRI Monday.

My car

I finally got my car back today. Hopefully they fixed the leak and it will no longer be a problem. Iva has been a little more ill than usual. I think her teeth are bothering her. She has been saying momma  and dada, this week. She also crawls alot more now lately and I have to watch her more carefully. I have to make sure there is not small objects on the floor for her to pick up and put into her mouth.

my car

My car has started leaking really bad on my passenger's side. Water has puddled every time it has rained for the last couple of days. My husband figured out it the seal in the window has cracked and is causing water to come in. I had to shock vacuum the water out of my car and leave the windows down to air it out. I hope and pray it does not mold. We will have to get it fixed asap so it does not happen again.

Homemade soup

I made homemade soup yesterday and got a little happy with the spices. It tastes like a TexMex soup. It is to hot for me but my husband loves it. He likes hot spicy foods but I on the other hand like mild foods. That will teach me to not add all the spices at once again.

my daughters first cold

My daughter has been fighting a cold for over a week now. She first was running a fever of 101.5 F and I gave her some Tylenol so the temperature would drop. Three hours later it had spiked up to 103.2 F and I stuck her in a bath of warm water. It did not work because 30 min. later her temp was 103.5 F. My husband and I rushed her to the emergency room and they determined that she did have some sort of infection and  her temp went down to 100.9 F. I took her to her pediatrician's in the morning and they said they thought she had a virus. She was fussy and would not eat solid food for a few days. We gave her lots of fluids and TLC. She is doing better but still a little congested. This was her first illness since her meningitis and we are first time parents so we do freak out a bit. Our daughter is going to have a MRI and blood work on  the 3rd of next month to see if there are any problems from her meningitis. Please pray that the test come back negative and she is a normal baby. If anyone who reads this blog needs prayer or needs someone to talk to, just let me know. The Lord has done so much for me and my family.When my daughter had menigitis he gave us courage and up lifted us. Please give me feed back on my blog and how to make it better.

My daughter's growing up

My daughter is now crawling around the floor and growing up before my eyes. This week she has learned to say mama and dada. I really cannot believe that she is 8 months old, it seems like yesterday that she was born. She had such a rough start having contacted mengitist at 4 days old and having to be in mission for 14 days. She is truly a  miracle baby.

My husband and I took my daughter to Sears to have her pictures taken. She would not smile no matter how the photograper tried to get her to smile. My hudand tried, I tried but not one smile;finally daddy made funny noises and got a few smiles out. She smiled really big when we were done and kept smileing until we left. I guess she does not like her pictures taken.
